'Mabellis' British Shorthairs

Kittens - 10th July 2002

Since I last visited the kittens have grown, and become much more athletic and active.  I saw them plyaing almost non-stop for a couple of hours.  The other change is that whilst Muffin is still clearly a keen mother and very proud of her brood, I didn't see her suckle them.  A kitten did try, but she got up and walked away.  I found it really hard to leave - if they were in my house I would be in danger of not going to bed so I could watch all night!

Mousing starts young...
This little kitten was totally entranced with the toy mouse, and the only way to get anything like a decent photo of her was for the proud owner to hold it!

Do they ever stop being cute?
One of the girls.  Every time I did something with the camera she looked straight at me, and this was the best of the photos I took.

All the kittens just waking up
When I arrived they were all asleep in this large cat-nest, and I managed to get the camera out and get one shot before they started running around and playing.  This is it - thankfully it was well worth using.  You can see all six kittens here, but one of them is mostly hidden behind the kitten in the centre of the photo - just his or her ear can be seen.

The sire is Welqust Mistatipkins, known as Jasper to his friends.  (Photo Pedigree).
